So once again we took a gamble and decided to try and get into Tamarack on our way to the beach. It is a good half-way stopping point between our home and Myrtle Beach. We only needed a safe, quiet place to spend the night and Tamarack usually fits the bill.
As we pulled into the service station below, feeling extremely tired after several hours of driving, we noticed it was packed. There were literally a hundred Big-Rigs parking there for the night. Scattered in between them were even a few RVs.
We quickly filled our fuel tank and headed up the hill to check out the parking above. Luckily there we found a nice quiet place to park for the night.
