Have a Heavenly Flight, Pogo

Today I sadly say goodbye to my feisty little friend. He has been part of my family for over 30 years. He has seen me through good times and bad. We had a bond that most people did not understand. Beneath that ferocious exterior lay a truly affectionate birdy.

Even though he was the smallest member of the family, he definitely could prove that “size doesn’t matter”. He had been known to remove the tips of fingers that were teasingly poked at him. Yet when you gained his trust, he became extremely lovable.

We all will miss you, Pogo.

P.S. I really would like to know how he ended up with this egg in his cage, all that time ago.

Re: the mysterious egg, are you sure he was a he? Just asking.

So sorry you have lost your little buddy. Even though Pogo and I weren’t the best of friends, I always thought he couldn’t be all bad if you and Spike cared so much for him. A pet is a friend, and it hurts to lose our friends. I’m very sorry for your loss.
